Many people still don't know the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit OS. 32-bit and 64-bit refer to nothing but the way in which the processor handles information. The main difference between the two types is the amount of RAM that can be handled effectively.
For example, the 32-bit version of Windows can use only up to 4GB of RAM. 64-bit version of Windows on the other hand can easily use up to 128GB of RAM.

It is possible to install 32-bit programs on a 64-bit OS. But it won't make any difference to the software. Don't expect any boost in speed for the software
