To open up Resource Monitor, go to Run and type resmon; press Enter. If you identify a resource hog right click its entry in the CPU list and select End Process.

RELIABILITY MONITORReliability Monitor measures hardware and software problems and other changes in your computer. If a particular program or device is causing a lot of errors, you can fix it. To open up Reliability Monitor again go to Run and type perfmon /rel and press Enter.
If you see a red cross as shown in the diagram, click on it to see the information and then choose Check For A Solution. Keep in mind that not always solutions are available.

Opening Windows Memory Diagnostic is easy. Go to Run and type memory. A list will appear, search for Windows Memory Diagnostic. When the tool starts, press F1 to choose the type of test to run: Basic, Standard or Extended.

To launch Problem Steps Recorder, go to Run again and type psr; press Enter. Click Start Record, do what you want on the screen and then click Stop Record. The save box will open automatically.
